It was our first time flying from City Airport, and I have to say I was impressed. Not only is it handy to leave the car at work, but within 20 mins we were there, and with the flight to Antwerp only 50 mins, it didn’t feel like the usual trek that we experience when flying from Stanstead, Gatwick or Heathrow. (I’ve yet to fly from London Luton) We didn’t do much in Belgium other than hanging out with Blair and Amy which is just what we wanted and needed. Life in London can get a bit too much some times so taking it easy, having a lie-in, and going for walks was perfect. Can’t say that Blair got to lie-in much considering how active Amy is. And of course, try explaining to a toddler that the clocks have changed, and they should stay in bed for another hour….
We also took a short trip to Lier, where they had one of the coolest clock towers that I have ever seen. Of course we tried to come up with different answers for all the dials, and for those of you out there who are interested this link explains them all and a bit of the history behind it….
