where we’ve been and where we’re going

25Sep06

Well, the answer to the former is that we’ve been where we almost always are, home in the UK. Though admittedly we have been very busy travelling around a bit to see friends as well as receiving a few guests of our own. It’s a been a fun five or six weeks. I think partly to blame for our lack of posting on the blog is in the investment we made in a 1Gb card for our digital camera. Now we have less need to clear out so often we seem to neglect the job of uploading our images to the PC and doing a blog entry. Excuses, excuses I hear you say and you would be merited in making such an outcry. Whether how loud you shout for more regular updates makes any difference or not I am reluctant to say. Anyway, so there are a whole back catalog of snippets about our doings over the last little while so do check’em out!

As for the coming weeks, we’re off to Oz for another of good friends’ wedding to another of the McPharlin brothers. First it was Janita and Hamish, now it’s Kalinz and Luke’s turn. We’re very excited to go to Australia for the first time, especially after all the good things we’ve heard about Perth and of course delighted to be able to attend Kal’s wedding. It’s going to be a special and undoubtedly intriguing occasion. I say intriguing because of the coming together of Persian and Aussie Rules Footy culture. For those that don’t know Luke is a pro Aussie Rules player for the Fremantle Dockers and quite what all his burly teammates will make of the intracacies of Persian culture remains to be seen. All I know is the fact I’m invited to the stag do is a very scary prospect!

So in conclusion we’ll be out of blogging range for the next couple of weeks, but look forward to reporting back on adventures in the land down under upon our return, if we make back alive that is! Look out Oz, here we come…
