most people that see Duke always comment on what a big cat he is. Its true that when we first got him from the cat sanctuary, they did tell us to be careful when feeding him because his previous owners had over-fed him. Still the cat flap that we bought seemed to be just the right size for him. A little tight round the belly but still he managed to get through. Then the other night we woke at 5 am to hear crashing blinds in the living room. Not thinking it could possibly be burglars I went in to find a poor pigeon, still alive but petrified trying to escape from Duke who thought it was a game. Each time he moved Duke would take another swipe. Feathers everywhere we managed to get the pigeon out alive, albeit petrified and slightly dazed (having flown into the wall and ceiling several times before going through the window….

That poor pigeon!! I’m telling you that cat is going to bring a small child through the flap soon!!
He looks very fetching in his sunglasses!
